5/10/25 – Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona Food Drive

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is proud to partner once again with the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 10, 2025. As the nation’s largest single-day food drive, residents across Southern Arizona are invited to support families in need by simply leaving non-perishable food donations by their mailboxes.

Now in its 33rd year, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive provides critical food support to individuals and families facing food insecurity, especially during summer months when resources can be stretched thin. Last year, Southern Arizona residents donated 250,000 pounds of food, and the Food Bank is hoping to collect 275,000 pounds this year.

How to Participate:

  • On Saturday, May 10, place non-perishable food items next to your mailbox before your regular mail delivery. Your local letter carrier will collect the donations during their route.
  • Make a donation today. A donation of $10 helps provide 30 meals to our neighbors in need.
  • You can also donate funds or volunteer at local post offices.
  • Volunteers are needed on the day of the drive to help collect and sort donations at participating local post offices. Sign up today at volunteer.communityfoodbank.org/need.

The Community Food Bank encourages donations of canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, and other shelf-stable items. Residents are reminded to avoid glass containers and expired foods.
